Starting Life coaching

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a personalized support system that helps individuals clarify goals, develop action plans, and navigate challenges. Coaches employ effective communication and active listening to assist clients in overcoming obstacles, unlocking their potential, and achieving personal growth for a more fulfilling life.

How does life coaching work?

In life coaching, our coaches utilize diverse therapeutic techniques that are tailored to individuals, including cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness, and positive psychology approaches. They also utilize active listening and empathetic communication to provide a supportive space for you to explore and achieve personal goals and overcome challenges, fostering personal growth and clarity.

Is life coaching conducted in person or online?

Life coaching with our therapists in Pittsburgh, PA is conducted both in person and virtually via online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.

How long does life coaching last?

The number of life coaching sessions someone attends can differ based on the coach and the client’s choices. How many sessions are needed and how often they occur often hinges on the client’s objectives and the complexity of their concerns. Some clients might opt for a few sessions to tackle particular goals or issues, while others may decide on ongoing coaching sessions to work on personal growth and life enhancement over a more extended period of time. Thriveworks Pittsburgh therapists work with clients to create goals and potential timelines for treatment.

Life Coaching in Pittsburgh, PA—Work with a Skilled, Caring Life Coach

Perhaps you have a thriving career, enjoy what you do, and are on the fast track for moving up the ladder of success. However, your mother, who has been slowly going downhill with health issues, can no longer live alone and take care of herself. You always promised your parents you would take care of them if they should ever get sick, and you intend to follow through on that vow. How will you be able to work a full-time job and care for your mother successfully? To take on the burden of a sick parent combined with a demanding career will be hectic, and every day will be a challenge to meet the many responsibilities they entail. You don’t feel like you have any options.

Life Coaches work with their clients to help them find equal balance in their work and home life. They work with people to find alternatives and other options that they may never have thought of, guiding them and helping them in the monumental decisions they must make in life. Life Coaches at Thriveworks in Pittsburgh, PA are experts in the many concerns that impede people from growing in their lives and careers and are there to provide guidance on the path to working on the matters that seem mountainous and unmovable. Life Coaches at Thriveworks have worked with thousands of people to help them find their strengths and reach their goals. And they can help you, too! Reach out today to get started.

How Does Life Coaching Work?

What if life was like a fairy tale, where you could wave a magic wand and have your problems go away? What career would you choose that would combine your dreams and talents? Which activities would you like to pursue if you could choose without thinking of money or the time they would take? These types of questions may not be as easy to answer as you might first think.

Many times people don’t take the time to find out what would really make them happy and the types of things they’d like to do, because the reality of life hinders them. Saving money, paying bills, commuting to work, putting in 40-hour-plus weeks at the job and the many other responsibilities of life can shutter the dreams you may once have had. Life Coaches work with people to find the issues that stop them from moving toward their dreams and the steps to take to make them a reality.

How Can Life Coaching Help?

The Life Coaches at Thriveworks work with people to list their goals and make a “blueprint” on how to achieve what they want in life. Whether it’s maintaining a healthy and balanced career and leisure time, discovering what their talents and gifts are, or addressing the steps to move up the career ladder, Life Coaches work to guide them along the way.

Life Coaches will work with you to find out what you truly value and want in your life, making a strategy and a goal to reach fulfillment and happiness.

I looked around for a therapist for a month or so I found this place and I read and reread the reviews and Lauren’s bio a few times When I finally called a few months ago the woman who took my information and answered my questions, I specifically asked if I needed a new letter for my emotional support dog would they be able to help. She assured me absolutely yes. We do it all the time Now a few months into my sessions I asked Lauren for a letter to give my landlord. Lauren informed me over 3 weeks ago she would ask her boss. 2 weeks later she told me no, her boss said no. I had to go online. A year ago my landlord did not like the online one and wanted it from a local Therapist This past week when I had my appointment with Lauren, she said she couldn’t, i asked what kind of therapist she was. Because I was told when I decided to come to your practice that I could get one, I was told I had to have a few sessions with the therapist Now on Tuesday 2/13 I asked, she told me she was meeting with her boss the next day and would tell him what I was told She said she would email me the next day, now it’s Saturday and nothing. I now am so upset that I put all this time into a therapist that isn’t qualified to write a letter, not because of her, but from some rule that I was lied to about on the onset Now I really think I need to go find a true therapist The fact I’m told to go online to get one from a stranger, while I am in therapy Makes me question your practice In sales we call it bait and switch

I am pleased to have someone I can tell how I am feeling that I would not express to family or friends. The medication helps me to get a better night sleep and helps me feel better the following days and to cope throughout the days that follow.
