Bernadette Hernandez is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut with more than 7 years of experience. She works with children, adolescents, and individuals that are seeking help with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, peer relationship issues, mood disturbances, and stress management issues.
Bernadette received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health, and continued her education by earning her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Southern Connecticut State University. Bernadette utilizes a collaboration of cognitive behavioral (CBT), solution focused (SFT), relational, strength-based (SBT), and mindfulness-based (MB-CBT) techniques.
Bernadette creates a safe therapeutic space where one can feel heard, understood, and supported while working to navigate through life’s issues. During events of high stress, anxiety, and uncertainty, Bernadette’s approach is warm and caring, as she encourages open communication, collaboration, and participation in a safe and supportive environment.
