Joey Trine is a Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC-BC) a member of the Illinois Association of Adult Development and Aging (IAADA), and former program development chair for IAADA. She specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. Kaamilya aims to create a therapeutic space by remaining non-judgemental where her clients feel welcome to heal.

Kaamilya completed her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is also certified in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Kaamilya defines herself as an eclectic therapist and will use treatment modalities that best fit the client’s needs, but often uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
